South Jersey & Philadelphia Engagement Shoot Locations
When the time came to choose a location for our engagement session with Kamila, I was a little lost. I had only lived in the area for about 3 years. The thought of pictures of us in denim and white at the shore made me giggle. Besides, my husband is not a fan of the beach – so the Jersey Shore was out of the question. We’d spent a lot of time in Philly, but mostly just at the good craft beer bars – not exactly the best settings in terms of lighting. We settled on the Art Museum area, and while the pictures turned out beautiful, to this day I still haven’t stepped foot inside of it. My best suggestion with all things engagement and wedding is to make choices that mean the most to you as a couple. Looking back, the blueberry farm that my husband grew up on and I fell in love with, would have been the perfect setting.
That said, if you find yourself in my predicament, here are a few great area locations that would make beautiful backdrops for your engagement shoot.
This historic campus and its beautiful buildings, pathways and greenery offer so many adorable nooks to steal a kiss or strike a pose.
Wildwood, New Jersey
Even if you’re not a beach lover, Wildwood’s Doo Wop architecture will make for an awesomely fun shoot…and just imagine the style possibilities!
With Love, Philadelphia
With Love, Philadelphia is new ad campaign that’s targeting summer tourists and encouraging them to get into Philly! Stroll around the historic city and search for these adorable signs. Cuddle up underneath one and capture your shared love for the city.
The Piazza at Schmidts
The Piazza at Schmidts in Northern Liberties is Philly’s version of European town squares – or piazzas. Its blend of modern and rustic, coupled with small crowds of people could make for one hip engagement shoot.
