A Picture Perfect Pair
A recent study found that more than 92 per cent of women could remember the first shoes they bought with their own money, while less than two out of three recalled the name of the first person they kissed. The bottom line of the story spread quickly: Women loves shoes more than men. That’s quite silly (right?), but then again, these days the news usually is.
With this story in mind, I gathered a few current pairs based on the styles of different photography sessions. It won’t take long for you to figure out that I’m a stickler for remaining classic, especially when it comes to photos you will cherish long after today’s trend are passe. At the same time, there’s always room for a touch of au courant flavor in small doses.
Engagement sessions are generally playful and with lots of action shots you want to be comfortable. Since you should stick to basics and solids for your outfit (these always photograph best and make you look your slimmest) go nuts with footwear! Throw in bold prints and punchy pops of color. Have fun with it…you’re engaged!
Your boudoir session mission is to look and feel like a sex goddess. This is probably the one time in your life that you’ll be professionally photographed looking like a vixen (unless of course you’ve got your sights set on achieving centerfold status) and true vixens always seem to be wearing shoes in the bedroom. Choosing the right shoe starts with a little glam and as much height as you can handle. A high heel will lengthen the legs and a rich, decadent shoe will complement all of your lingerie ensembles.
Obviously, I could devote a lot more than 50 words to wedding shoes. Like everything you choose to wear that day, they’re extremely important. So for the purpose of this post, I’ll just leave you with a sugary-sweet helping of bridal shoe candy. Muted colors like ivory and satin-y grey are a great alternative to bright white, as they’ll add a little drama to your look.
